Local Start-Up supporting local students

Cogito Group,  has got behind the inaugural <hs.hact.io>, a tech event designed to teach Canberra high school students to code.

Richard Brown, CEO, Cogito Group, said that this event is a great opportunity for young students who are interested in IT to get involved and see what they are capable of.

“Canberra needs a workforce with the right digital skills to meet the new capability demands in our growing digital economy. The problem is that there is a lack of skills among our current and emerging workforce.  We think events like these show high school students the opportunities available and enable them to build their skills and learn as much as possible from their mentors” Mr Brown said.

“These students are the future of IT in Australia. By supporting them today we hope to see their progression and development in the future.”

“Cogito Group is proud to be involved with this event, with a few of our staff volunteering to be mentors over the weekend.”

This event will be held at Canberra Grammar School from 17th – 19th April 2015.
