This November, Cogito Group visited Jakarta for the first time to showcase our capabilities to the Indonesian market.
The visit centered around the IndoDefence Expo & Form – Indonesia’s biggest Defence Industry event. IndoDefence, hosted by the Ministry of Defence, is held every 2 years and draws in over 25,000 visitors from 55 countries. Cogito Group exhibited at IndoDefence with Team Defence Australia – an initiative organised by the Australian Defence Export Office (DEC) in conjunction with the Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC) and Austrade.
The purpose of the visit was to determine Cogito Group’s fit in the Indonesian market, develop Indonesian contacts and networks, get introduced to interested decision-makers, and enhance Cogito Group’s profile in Indonesia. The visit provided comprehensive opportunities to collaborate, learn and promotion Australian cyber security overseas.
Cogito Group were joined by 20 Australian companies and representatives from CDIC, DEC, Austrade Australia and Austrade Indonesia. The diversity of the companies exhibiting under Team Defence Australia demonstrated the dexterity of Australian capabilities and exports. Some of those companies included: Defence Vision, Sentient Vision Systems, Greyscan, Medical Rescue, and Point Trading Group.
On the opening day of IndoDefence, the Team Defence Australia Pavillion was visited by Australia’s Minister for Defence Industry, Hon Steven Ciobo. The Minister delivered an insightful address to the team, on how Australia and Indonesia can collaborate to further develop defence technology.
The visit proved successful, Cogito Group are excited by the opportunities created in the Indonesian market. We would like to thank Austrade providing the platform to engage with innovators and pioneers in the defence industry.
